The Adolescents - For Fans of Black Flag

For the life of me, once I hear the song Amoeba, I can’t get it out of my head for DAYS. Heck, I even bring it into everyone else’s head through my constant singing of this early classic. Even if you’ve never heard it before, it’s probably in your head right NOW!

The Adolescents date back from 1980, and were a super-group composed of members of both Social Distortion and Agent Orange (dirty secret: I don’t like Social Distortion There goes like 49 scene points.) Playing old school punk/hardcore in the veins of Black Flag, The Adolescents may have not had the fame of Black Flag, but definitely influenced punk and hardcore just as much.

It's normal. I'm not a fan of everything Black Flag does... actually, I really only like a few select songs. A lot of their stuff is too experimental for me, and I prefer them when they had Keith doing vocals (but that's because I'm a big fan of the Circle Jerks).

AAAAHHHHH!!! You don't like Social D...for shame, lol.

Just found this through Stumbleupon. I really enjoy Black Flag, as well as the others, but I can't stand that Ameoba song you linked. drives me nuts.

Haha, that's probably because you can't get the song out of your head.

I tried to leave this comment before, but it didn't show up, so sorry if it shows up twice eventually. Anyway I just wanted to point out that Social Distortion's "1945" and "Amoeba" are essentially the same song. "1945" was co-written by Mike Ness and Casey Royer (later in The Adolescents, then in Social D) and when Casey left, he took the song with him. Anyway I love both bands, for what it's worth.
